Daily Hadith 6
As salam alekum wa rehmatillahi wa barkata hu
(May peace, blessings, and mercy of Allah (swt) be upon all of you)
In the name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Most Gracious.
Narrated Sahl RA, Allah’s Apostle Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, “I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise,” showing his middle and index fingers and separating them.
Sahih Al-Bukhari, book of divorce
Abu Huraira RA, reported that Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said: One who looks after the orphan whether he is his relative or not, I and he would be together in Paradise like this, and Malik (explained it) with the gesture by drawing his index finger and middle finger close together.
Sahih Al-Muslim, book pertaining to Piety and Softening of Hearts
Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie?
That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness,
And does not urge (others) to feed the poor.
So woe to the praying ones,
Who are unmindful of their prayers,
Who do (good) to be seen,
And withhold the necessaries of life.
Qur’an, Surah Al-Maun, verse 1-7
